CURATOR: DEJA DELARDO
WORLD PREMIERE EXHIBITION
Diffuse Control is an interactive kinetic sculpture exploring mass collaboration between humans and artificial intelligence. Unfolding over 12 weeks, the work evolves as curators—both established and emerging—introduce new images, which are transformed into AI-generated abstractions.
This piece reflects a shift toward collective creativity, where authorship is distributed across three layers: the artist, the curator, and the audience. Viewers engage via an online interface, actively manipulating the work in real time. Each interaction not only shapes the moment but also trains the system’s future responses, creating a living, learning artwork.
Curators fuel the evolution by selecting source material that adds new context and direction. Their contributions guide the system’s development while reflecting broader artistic trends.
Rather than presenting a single static output, Diffuse Control is a generative system in constant flux—an ever-evolving balance between human influence and machine interpretation. It challenges us to rethink our creative role in a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.
